Junior Development Programme

In line with our philosophy of providing opportunities to be the best, our programme for young members includes a long term development pathway for anyone wishing to be a player, leader or official. This means that once the sport has been introduced at school or college level, members can access a range of physical training, competitions and training courses. |

We currently run various sessions at local schools and encourage others from surrounding boroughs to join club sessions for additional training and development. The players are then supported and tracked and have the opportunity to play in both Local Leagues and National Cup Competitions. The more talented athletes are also scouted and given the opportunity to attend Senior Club training and gain representation at County and National Squad Levels. Players are also actively encouraged to play a wider role in the club by assisting at events and undertaking appropriate level courses in Coaching and Refereeing adding to their experience of the sport and encouraging their lifelong involvement. As a club, we will also actively participate in the Ernest Bevin Volleyball Academy which offers daily training alongside pupils' educational needs. Carol Gordon, Vice Chair - Junior Development |
